Biographical information on new vicariate leaders

The four new regional vicars are:

Father Frederick Cain

Father Cain, pastor of Holy Child Parish in Bridgeville, was ordained in May 1970 by then-Bishop Vincent Leonard. Father Cain also serves as the dean of the diocese’s Southwest Deanery. He previously served as parochial vicar at St. Sebastian in Ross Township, St. Bernard in Mount Lebanon, All Saints in Etna, spiritual director of St. Paul Seminary in Crafton, and senior priest and administrator of St. Agatha in Bridgeville, which is now part of Holy Child.

Father Philip Farrell

Father Farrell, pastor of St. Camillus Parish in Neshannock Township, also is dean of the Lawrence Deanery and Catholic chaplain at Westminster College in New Wilmington. He was ordained in June 1993 by then-Bishop Donald Wuerl. Father Farrell also served as parochial vicar at St. Margaret of Green Tree, St. Mary of the Assumption in Glenshaw and Sacred Heart in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood.

Msgr. William Ogrodowski

Msgr. Ogrodowski, pastor of SS. Peter and Paul Parish in Beaver, was ordained by Pope Paul VI in June 1975 in Rome. He previously served as parochial vicar of St. Raphael in Pittsburgh’s Morningside neighborhood, vice rector and rector of St. Paul Seminary in Crafton, spiritual director and vice rector of North American College in Vatican City, senior parochial vicar at SS. Peter and Paul and dean of the Beaver Deanery.

Father Robert Guay

Father Guay was profiled in the May 1 issue of the Pittsburgh Catholic.
