Wednesday, May 08, 2019 - Updated: 8:31 am

The Catholic Legal Immigration Network will bring its annual convening of legal practitioners to Downtown Pittsburgh May 29-31 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and Westin Convention Center hotel.

Most participants are affiliated with the network, known as CLINIC. The gathering offers three days of intensive legal training, and professionals who attend certain sessions can receive up to 16.5 continuing legal education credits.

In attendance will be Bishop David Zubik, who will concelebrate 7 a.m. Masses Thursday and Friday; Archbishop Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio to the United States; Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio of Brooklyn, a CLINIC board member and founder of CLINIC when he was head of the U.S. bishops’ Migration and Refugee Service; and Bishop Kevin Vann of Orange, California, CLINIC’s board chairman.

The convening typically attracts about 500 people involved in issues related to immigration law. Registration is required to attend. For information about CLINIC and the Pittsburgh gathering, go to https://cliniclegal.org.
