Bishop David A. Zubik, DD, Bishop of Pittsburgh

Ordained May 3, 1975; appointed Titular Bishop of Jamestown and Auxiliary Bishop of Pittsburgh February 18, 1997; consecrated April 6, 1997; appointed Bishop of Green Bay, Wisconsin, October 10, 2003; installed Bishop of Green Bay, Wisconsin, December 12, 2003; appointed Bishop of PIttsburgh, July 18, 2007; installed September 28, 2007.

Born September 4, 1949, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, to Stanley and the late Susan (Raskosky) Zubik. He attended Saint Stanislaus Elementary School and Saint Veronica High School, both in Ambridge, before entering Saint Paul Seminary in Pittsburgh. He received an undergraduate degree at Duquesne University in 1971 and went on to study at Saint Mary Seminary and University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he earned a degree in theology in 1975.
