SAWDUST CARPETS

Volunteers are invited to come to Holy Martyrs Parish in Tarentum to help create sawdust carpets for the 76th annual Corpus Christi celebration Sunday, June 23. Volunteers will start at 7 a.m. to either help make a carpet or create one for themselves. Lunch will be provided for all workers. ROSARY WARRIORS

Another rosary warrior community walk will be Tuesday, June 25, starting at 7 p.m. from the Legion of Mary Home, 1705 Brownsville Road in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood, and will continue down Brownsville Road, praying for local community and world. THE GIFT OF LIFE

St. Raphael and Sacred Heart parishes will sponsor a five-week summer program, “The Gift of Life: Death and Dying — Life and Living,” on Tuesdays, July 2-30, from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. in the St. Raphael School conference room in Pittsburgh’s Morningside neighborhood or from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Bishop Winter Conference Room of Sacred Heart Parish in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood. Topic schedule: July 2, “Stages of Dying and Letting Go of the False Self;” July 9, “Suffering, Growth, Transformation;” July 16, “Judgment, Mercy and God’s Tender Love;” July 23, “After Death — New Beginnings;” July 30, “The Cross and Coming Home.” Each presentation will include 20-minute DVD reflection from Father Thomas Keating, Scripture reading, insightful overview, discussion and sharing. MEISTER ECKHART

The Eckhart Society invites the public to a reflective day Saturday, July 6, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. to consider “Meister Eckhart: Love and Justice in Spirituality.” Held in the Duquesne University Union in Pittsburgh’s Uptown neighborhood, doors will open at 9:30 a.m., with program starting at 10 a.m. Hosted by the Duquesne University Department of Theology, program will examine the following: “I Have Chosen You,” “The Just Man,” “Transformed Into Justice,” “Justly Living,” “To Live Forever: Eternally Just,” “Hungering and Thirsting After Justice: The Blessed.” Also includes periods of silence, reflection and discussion. ORGAN CLASSES

The St. Gregory Institute of Sacred Music is offering organ master classes with Nicholas Will, director of liturgical music at the Pontifical North American College in Rome. The series of two-hour group organ lessons will be at Assumption Parish in Bellevue on Tuesdays, July 9-Aug. 6, from 7-9 p.m. Classes will cover organ repertoire, technique, artful registration and service playing skills.
