In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Our Lady of Fatima apparitions and in reparation to Mary’s Immaculate Heart, several parishes are participating in a nationwide Rosary Congress from Oct. 7-13.
The event consists of seven days and six nights of continuous Eucharistic adoration with hourly recitation of the rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet, along with silent meditation (except during scheduled Masses).
Four parishes are “passing the torch” from one to the other in what is called a “traveling congress” as follows:
• Incarnation of the Lord Parish, Pittsburgh’s Observatory Hill/Perry North neighborhoods — following 4 p.m. Mass Saturday, Oct. 7, until 6 p.m. Benediction Sunday, Oct. 8.
• St. Alexis Parish, Wexford — following 5 p.m. Mass Sunday, Oct. 8, until 7:30 p.m. Mass Monday, Oct. 9.
• St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Butler — 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, until 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10.
• St. Monica Parish, Chippewa — 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, until 5:30 p.m. Mass Friday, Oct. 13.
